Graduation Ceremony at the HfJS

News Special Dates

On Wednesday, October 21, we held this year’s graduation ceremony. The highlight was the presentation of diplomas to the graduates—a special moment following an intensive period of study at the HfJS.

Following welcoming remarks by Dr. Andreas Brämer and Prof. Barbara Traub, as well as a greeting from the student council, former Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Johannes Becke presented the diplomas.

Prof. Dr. Michael Schmitt also honored outstanding theses with the Friends’ Association awards. Ida Braun, who earned the highest grade for her master’s thesis “Masoretic List Material in MS Vatican ebr. 14.
Scope, Categorization, and Comparison of the Material in Exodus,” subsequently shared insights into her time at the HfJS and her thesis: Between the Mensa and the Masorah.

To wrap things up, there was time for conversations and socializing over the buffet in the Mensa. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates on their successful completion of their studies and wish them all the best as they move forward!
