Mensa
Not only kosher, but also delicious!
The HfJS canteen is located in the historic vaults of the university.
under the supervision of the university rabbi Janusz Pawelczyk-Kissin and under the direction of canteen manager Beate Metwaly, the kosher canteen offers dairy and kosher dishes and seasonal products from the region - freshly prepared every day with the utmost care. Based on the Jewish dietary laws (Kashrut), according to which milk and dairy products may not be eaten at the same time as meat dishes, the canteen refrains from serving meat dishes and all other foods containing meat products.
Every last Wednesday of the month is Mensa Day for university staff. Please note that the canteen is closed to external visitors on these days.
Payment:
The use of the canteen is only possible with the CampusCard of the HfJS or Heidelberg University. Further information on using the CampusCard can be found here.
It is not possible to pay with cash or to top up the card on site.

Registration
If you would like to eat in the canteen, please register the day before by 4 p.m. at the latest at mensa(at)hfjs.eu.
Take-Away Service
Please also register for this the day before by email(mensa(at)hfjs.eu).
You can collect your lunch between 13:00 and 13:30. For reasons of hygiene, we ask you to bring your own containers for collection for the sake of the environment.
