Lost Books Lab
What does a stamp in a book reveal about its history? As part of the Lost Books Lab, we invite you to two free workshops where we’ll search together for traces of Nazi-looted books. Participants will learn how books belonging to Jewish owners were looted during the Nazi era and how their stories can be reconstructed today.
The workshops will take place on September 9, 2026, at the College of Jewish Studies and on September 10, 2026, at the Blaumilch Antiquarian Bookshop in Heidelberg. Feel free to bring your own books with unknown names, stamps, or stickers to include in our collective research.
