Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Werner Arnold! Our former rector received a letter from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, more precisely from the Faculty of Humanities, inviting him to serve as a Distinguished Fellow for the academic years 2025-2026. He was honored for his exceptional contributions and distinguished career in the field of Semitic Studies. The Hebrew University hopes to learn from Prof. Arnold's extensive knowledge and experience.
In addition to Prof. Arnold, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Martina Hartmann, President of the Monumenta Germaniae Historica (MGH) in Munich, was also awarded the title of Distinguished Fellow.
It is with great pleasure that we congratulate our former Rector on receiving this highly deserved award from Hebrew University. Especially in these times, it is more than just an honor - it is a valuable sign of mutual solidarity.
