IMPORTANT for First-Year Students
Intensive Preparatory Course in Modern Hebrew Before the Start of Classes

A one-week intensive course takes place before the start of the winter semester to prepare students for the regular beginner Hebrew courses offered during the semester. This intensive course is mandatory for first-year students with no prior knowledge of Hebrew who wish to enroll in one of these beginner courses.

First-year students with sufficient knowledge of Hebrew may be exempted from participating in the intensive course. Depending on prior knowledge, it may also be possible to enter directly into a higher language level. Please contact kevin.trompelt(at)hfjs.eu well in advance of the start of classes.

This year’s Modern Hebrew intensive block will take place from October 5 to 9, 2026. The exact dates can be found in the course catalog.
