Dr. Judith Müller
Dr. Judith Müller is a research associate at the Martin Buber Professorship at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and is associated with the Lilli and Michael Sommerfreund Visiting Professorship at the HfJS Heidelberg. She previously worked as a research assistant for Jewish literature at the Center for Jewish Studies in Basel. in 2022, she received her PhD in Jewish Studies and Hebrew Literature from the University of Basel and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
She is currently finalizing a book project on European Hebrew literature before and after the First World War. Other research projects deal with the reception of Hebrew literature among Jewish women*Jews in the 1920s and 1930s in Germany and questions of multilingualism in Jewish literatures. in 2025, she received the Petra Ernst Fellowship and was at the Center for Jewish Studies in Graz.
As part of the Willy Bretscher Fellowship, Müller spent several months at the ZB Lab of the Zentralbibliothek Zürich for research purposes in 2024.
