Bachelor of Jewish Social Work introduced in the Thuringian State Parliament

On September 4, 2025, the new cooperative study program "Bachelor of Jewish Social Work" was introduced during a ceremony in the Thuringian state parliament. From January 2025, the 29 students of the new cooperative study program "Bachelor of Jewish Social Work" began their studies at the Erfurt University of Applied Sciences and the Heidelberg University of Jewish Studies. With this new course, the two universities and the Central Council of Jews in Germany have created an offer that is unique in Germany. Students will acquire the skills they need to work in Jewish communities, institutions and organizations.
