Does Hungary's model under Viktor Orbán serve as inspiration for an illiberal democracy in Israel? Fabiola Ermer researched this in her master's thesis and is now sharing her analyses with us. With well-founded comparisons of judicial reforms, constitutional structures and think tank networks such as the Kohelet Policy Forum, she shows parallels and differences. The series combines serious research with lively debates on the risks of democracy and social polarization.

Fabiola Ermer received the prize of the Friends of the HfJS Heidelberg for the best Master's thesis of the year.
