Israel Studies Conference "Israel in Research: Knowledge and Perspectives"  - CALL FOR PAPERS

The Hochschule für Jüdische Studien Heidelberg (HfJS) invites scholars, graduate and undergraduate students to submit papers and presentations which cover research on any aspect of Israel studies and Middle East Studies. Papers on topics related to the broader field of Israel studies are also welcome.

The conference will take place on April 19-20, 2012, at the Hochschule für Jüdische Studien Heidelberg, Landfriedstraße 12, 69117 Heidelberg, Germany. The languages of the conference will be English and German.

The conference will cover the following topics: 

• Art, Architecture, Visual & Performing Arts
• Gender Studies
• History & Historiography
• Literature, Literary Studies & Linguistics
• Culture & Society
• Diaspora & Migration Culture
• US Foreign Policy in the Middle East
• EU Foreign Policy in the Middle East

• Economic Development, Sustainability & Democratic Transition
